Citizen Science Manager

Research Triangle Park, NC – Full Time

The Citizen Science Program Manager builds and maintains a statewide network of diverse organizational partners, public agencies and individuals to advance Clean Air Carolina’s AirKeepers Program, and provides technical resources and data for researchers, policymakers, health professionals, and educators to advance Clean Air Carolina’s mission.

Health Manager

Research Triangle Park, NC – Full Time

The Health Manager is responsible for all activities related to the Medical Advocates for Healthy Air (MAHA) Program, a statewide network of medical and health professionals promoting improved air quality through health education and advocacy. MAHA includes health professionals at all career levels, from student to retiree, who advocate primarily on state-level policy, but certain initiatives have targeted institutional, local, regional and national policies as well.

College students can earn course credit by serving as an intern for Clean Air Carolina at any time during the year. Interns are especially needed to work with the AirKeeper Citizen Science Program and Medical Advocates for Healthy Air during the spring and fall semesters. In the past, we’ve had interns from Davidson College’s Sustainability Scholars Program, Duke University’s Stanback Internship Program, Northeastern University, UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Charlotte.
