Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet

April 3 - September 1

Free

The project ‘Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet’ is a public art exhibition designed to inspire individuals and organizations to take action against climate change. Initially developed by environmental activist Wendy Abrams, Cool Globes has included the work of artists all over the world, who design the globes using a variety of materials to create awareness and provoke discussion about potential solutions to climate change.

The innovative art project is coming to Charlotte this spring, when roughly 30 globes designed by local artists will be placed along North Tryon Street from The Square to 11th Street. The event will open on Friday, April 3, and will be on display until early September, 2020.

Cool Globes Charlotte will be infused with all things Charlotte, and will provide a platform for local organizations to showcase their important efforts on sustainability. Click here to learn more.
