State of the Climate 2019 Celebrates Climate Progress in North Carolina

Nov 12, 2019

Last week Clean Air Carolina hosted State of the Climate in Charlotte. Policymakers, educators, business leaders, and climate advocates from across North Carolina gathered at the Barrel Room at Catawba Brewing to celebrate victories and champions in the fight against climate change.

Attendees met with leading climate advocates from across the state, learned about opportunities to get involved in upcoming climate actions, and shared their climate commitments with our Instagram-ready selfie booth.

Guests also heard from Clean Air Carolina staff and board members on how we’re fighting climate change every day.

The highlight of the evening was the Blue Sky Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations who have shown extraordinary commitment to improving North Carolina’s climate health and air quality.

It’s important to occasionally take time to celebrate the progress we are making. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make State of the Climate such a success!
