Though the climate crisis can feel insurmountable, it is important to occasionally take time to celebrate the progress we are making. That’s why Clean Air Carolina is excited to host State of the Climate next month, our annual celebration of victories and champions in the ongoing struggle against climate change.
Please join us in Charlotte on Thursday, November 7, at the Barrel Room at Catawba Brewing, for a night of fun and climate action. The ceremony will highlight our climate work over the past year, honor North Carolinians for their dedication to tackling the climate crisis, and share ways to get involved and support our work.
State of the Climate is FREE and open to the public, although reservations are required. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other climate advocates from across the state, strike a pose in our Instagram-ready selfie booth, and enjoy hearty appetizers and drinks (two per guest) on the house. Guests will also receive a reusable tote bag full of Clean Air Carolina swag, including a t-shirt and a stainless steel Kleen Kanteen straw.
Be sure to stick around for our 2019 Blue Sky Awards, when we recognize the individuals, organizations, and partners who have shown extraordinary commitment to addressing climate change. This year’s Blue Sky recipients will include student climate activist Mary Ellis Stevens, Charlotte Councilwoman Dimple Ajmera, and nonprofit partner Dogwood Alliance, among other notable allies.
We hope you’ll join us on November 7 and learn how you can join the fight to protect our climate health. You will not want to miss it!
