The Medical Advocates for Healthy Air (MAHA) office has moved from the MidwayBusiness Building in Chapel Hill to The Frontier in the Research Triangle Park (RTP). The new office space will allow MAHA to be centrally located in the Triangle and take advantage of the many amenities and professional development opportunities offered by The Frontier and RTP. The Frontier is a coworking space where the first floor is free for all to use and the upper floors are private offices, where the MAHA office resides.
The Frontier offers several conference rooms and event spaces, as well as events like RTP180 and the Friday Food Truck Rodeo. The first floor of The Frontier is dog-friendly and in June there will be a dog park on site. MAHA Manager, Rachel McIntosh-Kastrinsky, is excited to be in the new space.
“I am really looking forward to networking with the other tenants and utilizing the great event and conference space,” said McIntosh-Kastrinsky.
The RTP is home to more than 250 companies and 50,000 people with expertise in fields such as microelectronics, telecommunications, biotechnology, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental sciences. Industries invest more than $300 million in R&D at the region’s universities each year – double the average R&D investment for innovation clusters elsewhere in the nation. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a campus at RTP with 15 EPA offices, including their major center for air pollution research and regulation.
The Frontier offers organizations of all sizes office space in the heart of the RTP and helps fosters relationships between the organizations. MAHA is thrilled to be a part of The Frontier and RTP community. The next time you are in the RTP, we hope you will stop by and say hello.
