Have you been concerned about an air quality issue in your community but weren’t sure what you could do about it? Have you wanted to speak out about the impacts of air pollution and climate change but didn’t know who to approach?
Clean Air Carolina’s new advocacy manual, Let’s Advocate for Clean Air!, is a tool for learning about the laws and agencies whose purpose is to protect our air, and how to make an impact on policy decisions by working with the media, elected officials, and boards, commissions, and government agencies. Additionally, the manual provides links to a host of tools created by the Environmental Protection Agency and the NC Department of Environmental Quality that can help you understand where the emissions in your community are coming from and what they are.
The manual is available on the Advocacy page of the Clean Air Carolina website where you can download it as a PDF. We will update it as laws change and new tools are created, so be sure to check back for new versions.
