Planned Giving

By making a commitment to a legacy gift, you will become a founding member of Clean Air Carolina’s Blue Sky Society—our valued circle of donors for a sustainable future. If you have any questions, email June Blotnick at june@cleanaircarolina.org.

Making a bequest is simple and straightforward. Let your advisor know your wishes and they will put the appropriate language in your will. If you already have a will, there is no need to rewrite it to include Clean Air Carolina; your lawyer can add a bequest through a simple codicil.

Various bequest options (and suggested language that might be helpful to you and your advisor) allow you to:

  1. Take care of your loved ones first, then leave whatever percentage of the remainder of your estate you choose to Clean Air Carolina.

I give and bequeath to Clean Air Carolina, 1112 Harding Place, Charlotte, NC 28204, federal Tax ID Number 57-0462653 _____ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal.

  2. State your intention by leaving a specific amount (or specific percentage of your total estate) to Clean Air Carolina.

I give and bequeath to Clean Air Carolina, 1112 Harding Place, Charlotte, NC 28204, federal tax ID number 57-0462653 the sum of $______.

    Or

I give and bequeath to Clean Air Carolina, 1112 Harding Place, Charlotte, NC 28204, federal tax ID number 57-0462653 ____ percent of my estate.

  3. Make your gift to Clean Air Carolina contingent on other conditions being met, such as having a loved one predecease you.

If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I give and bequeath to Clean Air Carolina, 1112 Harding Place, Charlotte, NC 28204, federal tax ID number 57-0462653 the sum of $______.

  4. Or you may say “all of my estate” or “____ percent of the remainder of my estate.”

Should you have already included Clean Air Carolina in your estate plans, please let us know—we want to thank you!
